Last week, former Florida State QB Danny Kanell had Alabama ranked No. 5 in his top eight, saying he wasn’t impressed by the Crimson Tide’s opponents.

After the Crimson Tide took care of business against the No. 19 LSU Tigers on Saturday night, though, Kanell still isn’t overly impressed with Nick Saban’s squad.

As you can see below, Kanell has Georgia in the No. 1 spot, but has two one-loss teams — Notre Dame and Clemson — ranked ahead of the undefeated Tide:

Obviously, only the College Football Playoff rankings truly matter, but it is interesting to see Kanell with the Tide ranked so low.

Alabama will have another shot to build its resume next weekend, as the Tide head to Starkville to take on a ranked Mississippi State team.

Before all is said and done, Kanell may have no choice but to begrudgingly put Alabama at No. 1, but for now, at least he has the Tide in his top four.
