Former Alabama RB Derrick Henry has become a star for the Tennessee Titans, and his 1,079 rushing yards currently leads the NFL this season.

However, Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook has 1,069 yards in 1 less game than Henry, due to sitting out a game a few weeks ago with an injury.

When asked about who the best back in football was, the former Alabama Heisman winner offered big-time praise to Cook (via SI.com):

“Dalvin Cook is having a phenomenal season,” Henry said Wednesday. “Right now, I would say he’s the best back in football. Just week after week, always dominating. Always having a great game. Running the ball. Catching the ball. Very explosive.

“I love watching him run on film. He is doing a great job this year. That guy’s just been incredible the whole year. He runs hard, runs through tackles, makes guys miss. He’s just been balling.”

This is Henry’s third year in a row with more than 1,000 rushing yards. Can he hold off Cook and win the rushing title? There are 6 weeks left in the NFL regular season, and this should be a fun battle to watch.

Don’t count Henry out, though. As the weather gets colder, he seems to get hotter.
