Derrick Henry has never experienced NFL free agency but it just so happens he’s hitting it at the perfect time as the Titan running back nearly put Tennessee on his back and carried the franchise to the Super Bowl after one of the most impressive stretches in the league’s modern history.

Now the Titans will have to pay some serious money to keep Henry in Nashville, which is what the team’s best player hinted at during a recent appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” leading up to the Super Bowl.

While he would prefer to keep playing in Nashville for the Titans, it’s going to take a ton of money for Tennessee to keep their running back.

“Zeke number is the floor,” Henry said to Eisen.

Henry’s comment is in reference to the deal signed by Ezekiel Elliott back in September as the Cowboys gave the Dallas running back a six-year, $90 million contract extension. That deal was the richest deal for a running back in NFL history.

Considering the run Henry just went on to close the season, while his demands may be high, they appear understandable in the sense he’s shown how far he can carry a franchise.
