Details of Jonathan Allen's first NFL contract have been released
Jonathan Allen’s slight fall in the 2017 NFL Draft didn’t end up costing him much at all, as arguably the nation’s top defender last season has cashed in with a wealthy contract from Washington. The Redskins drafted Allen with the No. 17 overall pick in the latest draft.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Allen’s first NFL contract will earn him nearly $12 million in guaranteed money. The deal is for four years but the team will have the option to pick up the fifth year of the deal after three seasons.

The Redskins rookie minicamp started this week, and of course, features Allen and both his former and current teammate Ryan Anderson. The Redskins used their second round pick to shore up their linebacker play and wisely used their pick on the Anderson.
