The Miami Dolphins’ dismissal of Brain Flores surprised many NFL fans and media members. The coaching change, however, could be good news for Tua Tagovailoa. After noted interest in a trade for Deshaun Watson, Miami appears to want to build around Tagovailoa with the new coach.

While Flores is described as doubting Tagovailoa as his starting QB, Miami’s top candidates for the head coaching job, including former Alabama play-caller Brian Daboll, are being described as “Tua friendly.”

Tagovailoa has played in 23 games over the past 2 seasons, going 449-of-678 passing for 4,467 yards, 27 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. In Tagovailoa’s 21 starts, the Dolphins have gone 13-8.
