The rich get richer Sunday as Alabama adds to its top-ranked 2017 recruiting class by landing the commitment of four-star linebacker Christopher Allen out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The 6-foot-4, 234-pound Allen committed to the Tide over LSU. In total, Allen has 19 scholarship offers from the likes of Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Florida State and Michigan among others.

Allen, a 2017 Under Armour All-American selection, is ranked as Louisiana’s No. 4 overall prospect, the No. 7 outside linebacker in the nation as well as the No. 110 overall recruit in the 2017 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.

With Allen’s pledge, Alabama’s No. 1 overall rated 2017 recruiting class now contains 23 verbal commitments.
