ESPN has Alabama as big favorite to win College Football Playoff given current top four
Following the release of the season’s first College Football Playoff rankings, ESPN has calculated each of the current top-four team’s chances of winning the title.
Given the current top four, it’s no surprise that No. 1 Alabama is the favorite, having a 43-percent chance of lifting the title trophy:
How would this 4-tm playoff play out? ESPN’s FPI would give Alabama best chance (43%) to win the National Championship, then Michigan (30%) pic.twitter.com/lYBSD75Cof

Texas A&M, the surprise No. 4 team in the country, has only a 10-percent chance, likely based on the fact that the Aggies already lost to the Crimson Tide 33-14 a couple of weeks ago (but don’t tell that to David Pollack).
Obviously, there’s still a long way to go this season and a lot could change quickly, but it’s always nice to see where teams stand as the year progresses.
