When the 2020 NFL Draft begins on Thursday night, Alabama OL Jedrick Wills Jr. probably won’t have to wait very long to hear his name called.

Yes, this draft is loaded with talented offensive linemen, but Wills could be the best of the best before all is said and done.

On SportsCenter on Wednesday, ESPN analyst Louis Riddick explained why Wills stands out above the rest (via 247Sports):

“If you go with a tackle in this situation, you’re getting the best tackle in this draft,” Riddick said. “If you watch Jedrick Wills on tape this year at Alabama, it’s beautiful to watch. This guy’s technique is very consistent. Tremendous strength in his lower body. Plays with a consistent pace. Routinely is driving people off the ball. Pass sets very consistently, and he played in the high-powered offense against some high-powered opponents. This would be a slam-dunk pick for (the Jets).”

The Jets don’t have a pick until No. 11. It’s possible Wills is already off the board by then, as a couple of top-10 teams need an offensive lineman and Wills could fit the bill.

Will they trade up to grab the Alabama star? We’ll find out when the first round starts on Thursday night.
