ESPN announces Crimson Tide legend as Saturday's GameDay celebrity guest picker at Alabama
Alabama is set to host Auburn in the 2020 version of the Iron Bowl on Saturday, and College GameDay will be on-site for one of the best rivalries in college football.
Bama fans will love to hear from Saturday’s guest picker too, as ESPN is bringing in Alabama legend and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Namath to round out the final segment of the show.
It wouldn't be a show in Tuscaloosa without Broadway Joe 🤩

Namath may be in Tuscaloosa in person, but it is doubtful he will physically be on the College GameDay set for the picks. This season, guest pickers have joined the show remotely due to COVID-19 precautions.
One thing is for sure, there is no way Namath is picking against top-ranked Alabama this week.
I heard he sobered up.Thats great cause he is still among sec greats. Between him and Snake what a history Bama has for Qbs.
And some guy named Bart Starr. He was always a favorite of this old guy.
Bart didn’t do much at Alabama. He wasn’t even the full time starter.
Back injury. Let’s hold that against him. smh
His whole career? Sure.
Bart Starr won two Super Bowls, Joe Namath won one and Kenny Stabler won one.
Bart was my fav. Maybe still is.
He sells some mean insurance now….
Broadway Joe is definitely one of the Tide’s greatest Quarterbacks…Roll Tide !
Don’t leave out Pat Trammell from that era. He was an incredible student and athlete, but our Lord had other ideas about maybe needing an outstanding future physician in Heaven. A book and movie should be made about his very short time on Earth.
IIRC, Trammell had a photographic memory and could remember everything that happened in his life. His visual perception was off the charts, and he could basically see what the defense was going to do maybe a tenth of a second before they did it. He was like the same pole of a magnet with opposing players.
If Trammell were alive today, he’d probably have Dr. Fauci’s job, and Covid would be a nuisance virus like the common cold.
What a time to be alive, 2020 y’all.
>>”Vanderbilt chose to let Sarah kick. They chose to dress her for a D1 game… They chose to let her squib kick in this decade and not do the other things, because a squib kick is easy, and because the other things are hard; because she is not capable to achieve any other goal or serve to organize and measure the best of Vanderbilts energies and skills, because that challenge is one that she is not capable of accomplishing, one Vanderbilt was unwilling to postpone, and one they will ultimately lose, and all the others, too.”
Doing something for the sake of doing it is not an accomplishment. Sarah ultimately does a disservice to women’s rights and their struggle for equality. Focus on her unbelievable soccer skills, not her pop warner level kicking ability. This is peak participation trophy nonsense. Sad that Vanderbilt would even do something like this.
slak…you posted on the wrong article.
