Is Alabama about to become the first 13-0 team to win the College Football Playoff?

Based on the 2020 preseason All-America team just put out by ESPN, it’s hard to imagine the outlet expecting anything less from Nick Saban’s program this fall.

Of the 23 offensive and defensive positions listed on ESPN’s 2020 preseason All-American Team, Alabama landed six players on the list. Six out of 23!

Some of these selections are more questionable than others but if in doubt, listing an Alabama player appears to be the way to go for ESPN.

Alabama players listed as preseason All-Americans by ESPN:

WR: DeVonta Smith, Alabama

OT: Alex Leatherwood, Alabama

OG: Deonte Brown, Alabama

AP: Jaylen Waddle, Alabama

LB: Dylan Moses, Alabama

CB: Patrick Surtain II, Alabama

Other players from around the SEC listed as preseason All-Americans by ESPN:

OT: Trey Smith, Tennessee

LB: Jabril Cox, LSU

S: Richard LeCounte, Georgia

CB: Derek Stingley Jr., LSU

P: Max Duffy, Kentucky
