Alabama CB Kendall Sheffield, a former five-star recruit, was set to play a bigger role for the Crimson Tide in 2016.

However, in order to receive more playing time during games, you have to put in the work in practice, which Sheffield hasn’t been doing the past couple of days.

According to an AL.com report, this is the second time Sheffield has missed practice:

Former five-star cornerback Kendall Sheffield was not spotted for a second straight practice Monday evening. The Missouri City, Texas product did not see action in his true freshman season last fall but drew strong reviews from upper classmen like Cyrus Jones.

Why the highly-touted corner is missing practice is still unclear.
