Former Alabama All-American named coaching intern for Falcons

2-time Alabama BCS champion Courtney Upshaw has been named a coaching intern for the Atlanta Falcons, the organization announced Thursday.
Upshaw was a force at Alabama from 2008-2011, totaling 141 tackles, 36 for loss across his 4 years for the Crimson Tide. Upshaw also forced 6 fumbles and returned an interception for a touchdown against Florida in 2011.
His play at Alabama earned him a 2nd round draft pick to the Baltimore Ravens in 2012. Upshaw played for the Falcons for his 2 final seasons in the NFL.

Upshaw is currently an assistant high school coach in Georgia at Grayson High School, where he coaches the defensive line.
