Former Alabama DB Marlon Humphrey's tip toe scoop and score seals Ravens' victory
It wasn’t technically a game-winning play, but it might as well have been.
Former Alabama DB Marlon Humphrey turned out the lights on any hope of a Seattle Seahawks comeback when he recovered a fumble by D.K. Metcalf, a former Ole Miss star now playing for Seattle, and scored for the Baltimore Ravens with 3:47 left in the game.
The play was reviewed and the touchdown held up for the Ravens, which was ruled an 18-yard touchdown as Humphrey tip-toed down the sideline and at first glance appeared to step out of bounds. It erased any stress for Ravens faithful in the 30-16 final, as Baltimore led only 23-13 at the time of the fumble.
Humphrey had 5 tackles, including one for a loss.
Metcalf, a key part of the Seattle offense, was targeted 9 times with 4 catches for 53 yards, including one for 37 yards.
