Former Alabama defensive lineman and New York Jets star Quinnen Williams reflected on what he’s learned from Crimson Tide Nick Saban.

On The Pivot Podcast with former NFL players Channing Crowder, Fred Taylor and Ryan Clark, Williams said everything he does as a professional football player “is through Nick Saban.”

Williams was with the Crimson Tide from 2016 to 2018 before being drafted third overall by the Jets in the 2019 NFL Draft.

A first-team all-pro, Williams signed a four-year, $96 million contract extension with the Jets in the off-season.

Williams said on The Pivot Podcast when he hears others say “bring the juice, bring the juice,” he shakes it off and stays focused.

“At Alabama, you either come to work or stay home,” Williams said. “That’s my mindset when I step on the field (for the Jets). I’m here to work and get everybody better around me and better myself.”

Williams noted that Saban taught him every aspect imaginable, including a strong mentality and hard work.

“It’s all about everything,” Williams said. “Everything he taught me has been instilled in me.”
