Former Alabama golfer Justin Thomas sets course record with amazing day at BMW Championship
There have been some low scores at this week’s BMW Championship at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois, but former Alabama golfer Justin Thomas has the lowest of them all.
On Saturday, Thomas set the course record at the club, going 11-under par to shoot a 61, moving to -21 for the weekend.
He also had multiple eagles on Saturday, which ESPN Stats & Info notes is his 6th round accomplishing that feat:

It's also Thomas' 6th career round with multiple eagles, including his 2nd this season (also 1st Round at the Sony Open). pic.twitter.com/nJfbWtQ3jh

Here’s a look at Thomas dominating a par-3 hole for a seemingly easy birdie:

Thomas has a 6-stroke lead heading into the final round on Sunday. If he holds on for the win, he’ll move up in the FedEx Cup standings, too. He’s currently in 15th place.
