Former Alabama LB Keanu Koht planning to visit 2 SEC programs, per report
Former Alabama linebacker Keanu Koht announced in November his plan to enter the transfer portal. The LB was a top prospect in the 2021 class but never became a fixture on Alabama’s defense.
Now, the prospective transfer has officially lined up 2 visits with other SEC programs. Per Pete Nakos, Koht will visit Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

Koht played in 7 games in 2024 and collected 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 fumble recovery. Koht was suspended prior to Alabama’s game against Mercer and did not travel with the team to LSU.
Overall, Koht played in 14 games over 3 seasons with the Tide and racked up 9 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.
Koht was rated as a 4-star prospect coming out of Vero Beach High School in Florida. The 247Sports Composite ranking had Koht as the No. 3 EDGE and the No. 13 prospect out of Florida in the 2021 class. Koht had interest from Auburn, Arkansas, and Clemson, among others, before deciding on the Crimson Tide.
The Tide will not be in the SEC Championship Game in 2024, but they do have a shot to make the College Football Playoff.
