Former Alabama  LB Reggie Ragland has a new NFL home.

Ragland signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday after being a free agent for the 1st 9 weeks of the season.

The move came after Raider LB Blake Martinez was moved to the reserve/retired list.

Ragland had a productive 2-year career in Tuscaloosa, winning SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2015. Ragland collected 95 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss in his award-winning season.

Ragland would end up slipping to the 2nd round of the 2016 NFL Draft, after a medical evaluation discovered an enlarged aorta. Ragland was selected by the Buffalo Bills, but suffered a torn ACL, ending his rookie season before it began.

Ragland’s most effective season as a pro came in 2018 as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. Ragland collected 86 tackles, 1 INT, and 2 tackles for loss. Ragland has bounced around the NFL since his Chiefs’ tenure.

The Las Vegas Raiders are currently 2-6 and have a matchup with the Colts in Week 10.
