Cornwell, who was the third Crimson Tide signal caller to leave the program this past season, was a four-star prospect and the No. 4 overall pro-style QB from the 2014 recruiting class. He saw action against Kent State and Mississippi State in 2016 as a reserve, though he did not attempt a pass.

Corwell earned his Bachelor’s degree from Alabama this past December and will be eligible to play right away for the Wolf Pack as a redshirt junior in 2017.
