Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins are set to match up against their AFC East rival New York Jets in the NFL’s first ever Black Friday game.

The Jets will host the game at MetLife Stadium, which is set to kick off at 3 p.m., perhaps after the morning Black Friday rush at retail stores. It will be aired on Amazon Prime Video.

The game adds yet another non-Sunday matchup the week of Thanksgiving, with the NFL making it obvious it wants to continue expanding. This can also be shown by the league’s 6 overseas games scheduled for this coming season.

Dolphins vs. Jets is a strong first Black Friday game, too. Both teams should be well in the running for a playoff spot by that point in the season, and New York’s offseason addition of Aaron Rodgers is sure to draw plenty of viewers.

As for Tagovaila, the name of the game is getting to Nov. 24 and beyond while avoiding serious injury. His injury issues last season made national headlines, as did the Dolphins’ handling of separate instances where he was exhibiting concussion-like symptoms but continued to play.

In April, Tagovailoa admitted he considered retirement following an especially scary injury against the Bengals where he had to be carted off the field.
