It’s crazy to think former Alabama running back Trent Richardson, a Heisman finalist in 2011 and a third overall pick of the Browns in 2012, couldn’t even find work last season.

However, sources told AL.com on Thursday that Richardson is expected to sign a free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens pending a physical.

As a rookie, Richardson showed some promise with the Browns, rushing for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns. His stock took quite a tumble in the years to follow.

It hit its lowest point last August, when Richardson — who also spent time with the Colts — was released by the Raiders before ever getting a chance to play a regular season game with the club. That came after signing a two-year deal with the franchise in the spring.
