Former Alabama DT Marcell Dareus will be dealing with a familiar off-the-field issue. WJXT Jacksonville reports that Dareus, a current Jacksonville Jaguar, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia this week after being stopped for speeding in Atlantic Beach, Florida early Wednesday morning.

As Mark Inabinnet of AL.com notes, Dareus has a history of substance-related suspensions. He was suspended in May 2015 for the first game of the 2015 NFL season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. In August 2016, Dareus faced another NFL substance-policy suspension, that time for four games.

In addition to the suspensions, Dareus also has a 2014 “spice” (synthetic cannabis) charge on his record when he was pulled over by a state trooper in Cleburne County Alabama.

WJXT reports that the Jaguars said the matter would be handled internally in a statement on Friday.
