Former Alabama standout weighs in on snapping issues, points to championship pressure
Former Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis responded to a thread on X (formerly Twitter) that was discussing the recent transfer decision from Crimson Tide center Seth McLaughlin, who notably had a handful of off-target snaps during the Rose Bowl.
Lewis’ main point was that, while it may be extreme, the pressure of being at Alabama is just a part of the privilege of playing there.
When you commit to Bama the pressure comes with it. The standard has always been the standard. Every year I was there it was Championship or bust. Simple. https://t.co/Uc3Ij9JNYU

McLaughlin announced that he would be entering the transfer portal on Wednesday, according to reports from the Tuscaloosa News. He is a native of Buford, Ga.
Lewis played at Alabama from 2016-2019 and was a member of the 2018 National Championship team.
A 5-star prospect coming out of high school as an edge rusher, Lewis played sparingly in 2016 before recording 16 tackles, 2 TFLs and 1 sack in 2017. He suffered a knee injury prior to the 2018 season that sidelined him throughout the campaign, but he bounced back to rack up 31 total tackles, 11.5 TFLs and 6 sacks in a breakout 2019 campaign.
That season earned him a spot on the Los Angeles Rams’ roster, who picked Lewis with the 84th overall pick. He is currently a free agent after being waived by the Bears on Aug. 30.
