Former Alabama star Jameson Williams just showed off his insane speed against the Washington Commanders on Saturday.

With the Lions down by 10 near midfield, Williams got the ball on a reverse and sprinted down the field for a 61-yard score. The speedy receiver went untouched, escorted by a group of blockers to the end zone.

The score cut into the deficit, making it a 24-21 game.

On the play, Williams traveled 122.6 total yards, which is the 2nd-most distance traveled by an offensive player on a single play in 2024.

The score was Williams’ 2nd career postseason TD. The first postseason score for the WR came last year in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers.

2024 has been the best season of Williams’ career. The Alabama product crossed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time, catching 58 passes for 1,001 yards with 7 TDs. Williams also picked up 61 rushing yards and a rushing score in the regular season.

Seeing Williams make big plays is nothing new for Alabama fans. The WR spent 1 season at Alabama, in 2021, and caught 79 passes for 1,572 yards and 15 TDs. Williams also ran 2 kickoffs back for scores and earned First-team All-American and First-team All-SEC honors after the impressive campaign.

The Lions then chose Williams in the 1st round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Over 3 seasons in the NFL, Williams has 83 catches for 1,396 yards and 10 TDs.

At halftime, Williams and the Lions are trailing the Commanders 31-21.
