A former Alabama tight end is reportedly looking for another college football opportunity.

Billy Embody of 247Sports reports that Kedrick James is in the NCAA transfer portal again.

James transferred from Alabama to SMU back in July 2019. He arrived in Dallas having played in 10 games for the Crimson Tide in the 2017 and ’18 seasons.

At SMU, James suffered a season-ending injury in practice and never suited up for a Mustangs game. Embody notes that James was not with the SMU program this summer or fall.

A 4-star prospect out of Waco, Texas, in the class of 2017, he committed to Alabama on July 31, 2016. He had 16 total scholarship offers coming out of La Vega High School, including Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
