Former Alabama WR Robert Foster didn’t record a catch for an NFL team this season, but he spent most of the year with the Dallas Cowboys on their practice squad.

It seems he did enough in Dallas for the team to want to keep him around this offseason.

On Tuesday, the Cowboys tweeted that Foster was 1 of 13 players the team signed to a futures contract:

A futures contract in the NFL means that the Cowboys don’t have to start paying Foster until the next league year begins (in March), but he can’t sign with another team.

Since going undrafted in 2018, Foster has spent time with the Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Washington Football Team, Miami Dolphins and, now, the Cowboys. He has 32 career catches for 642 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also has 2 rushes for 29 yards.
