Former FSU QB Danny Kanell mocks Nick Saban's Da'Shawn Hand decision
Alabama DL Da’Shawn Hand is on track to play Week 1 against FSU, and one former Seminoles QB is mocking Nick Saban’s decision.
Danny Kanell, a former ESPN analyst known for being vocally anti-SEC, mocked Saban’s handling of Hand’s DUI arrest with a joke about the severity of the punishment, which includes a ride-a-long.
I'd like to apologize to Bama fans. I didn't think Saban would punish Hand enough. Clearly didn't see the ride-a-long coming. Whoa..Harsh!!

Many were predictably not accepting of Kanell’s “apology”:
So 48 hours intake treatment, community service & a ride along seems lenient for a night of drinking & NOT driving? How did fsu handle rape?

Did he drink and drive Danny? Or was he just asleep in a car after a few drinks. He should be applauded for been responsible and not driving

Danny wouldn't have slept it off. Danny would drive. Danny is cool.

What's the proper punishment for *not* driving drunk?

No one brings an Alabama student and an Auburn fan together quite like Danny Kanell:
Bahahahahaha!!! #espnfired
