As the 2021 NFL Draft approaches, Alabama WR Jaylen Waddle figures to be one of the first receivers off the board.

If he goes behind guys like LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase and Alabama teammate DeVonta Smith, he should still be a mid-Round 1 pick.

Former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum took to Twitter on Tuesday to share his thoughts on Waddle, saying he’s more than just a speedy receiver:

Waddle was making defenses look silly in 2020 before he was injured in the game against Tennessee.

He came back for the National Championship Game, but clearly wasn’t himself. If he can get back to full strength before the start of the 2021 NFL season, the team that gets him is getting a game-changing receiver and return man.
