FOX analyst Matt Leinart picks Alabama to win national championship

Before the preseason NFL matchup between the Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans on Sunday, FOX had its college football analysts host a show to pick their College Football Playoff finalists and national champions.
Of the crew that included Dave Wannstedt, Matt Leinart, Joel Klatt and Robert Smith, all had Alabama among the final four, but only one — Leinart, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner.
Naturally, the former USC star had the Trojans in his final four, but when it came time to pick a champion, he went with the Crimson Tide:

None of the other three had the Crimson Tide winning it all, with Klatt picking Ohio State and Smith choosing USC.
Alabama faces a tough test to start the regular season, facing off against Florida State on Saturday, Sept. 2. If the Crimson Tide win that game, they could be well on their way to making Leinart’s prediction come true.
