A CBS goof provided one of the lighter moments of Saturday’s Alabama-Texas A&M game.

During the game, CBS showed a graphic comparing Tua Tagovailoa’s season touchdown passes to Joe Namath’s career passing touchdowns.

Color commentator Gary Danielson instantly recognized it was unfair to Broadway Joe, blaming it on a CBS staffer’s youth and unfamiliarity with the context of the two eras.

“That’s just wrong,” Danielson said laughing, per AL.com’s Mark Heim. “Let’s not even put that up. That’s just wrong, isn’t it?

“We apologize. We have a young guy in the truck that just threw that out there without really knowing. You can’t do that on an Alabama game.”
