When sports director Chris Breece of CBS 42 out of Birmingham, Alabama sat down with Alabama Athletics Director Greg Byrne, they discussed the future schedule of Alabama football and how the new Alliance between the Big Ten, Pac 12, and ACC, could affect Bama’s future scheduling.

Byrne said he doesn’t think the Alliance will affect Alabama little at all, if any. In the next 4 years, the Tide will face the Texas Longhorns, Wisconsin Badgers, and the Florida State Seminoles, programs that are all part of the new Alliance.

When asked if he was worried about any changes that may happen because of the Alliance, Bryne talked about financial penalties if any team were to back out. But he thinks these matchups are not only good for the Tide, but for college football in general.

“That’s good for college football, good for our program, and good for the game of football. We certainly plan on playing the games we have scheduled,” he said.
