Greg Byrne responds to Jimbo Fisher's claims that Nick Saban has broken rules
Greg Byrne has been Alabama’s athletic director since 2017, working with Nick Saban as the school’s football coach during his entire tenure.
So, he was certainly aware that Jimbo Fisher claimed that Saban has done shady things in his past during a recent public spat between the 2 coaches.
But, on Wednesday at SEC spring meetings in Destin, Florida, Byrne said he’s confident that Alabama has been compliant with NCAA rules and regulations under his watch:
I asked @Greg_Byrne what he thought when Fisher told reporters to go dig into his program. Byrne: “I know we feel very good about our compliance and what we do at Alabama, and that's been in the past and it's gonna continue in the future.”

Fisher is set to meet with the media in Destin on Wednesday afternoon, so we’ll see if he keeps the beef going publicly or strikes a more subdued tone.
For now, though, Saban and the Tide have yet to face any NCAA allegations under Byrne’s watch.
