Greg McElroy discussed the performance of Jalen Milroe on his “Always College Football” podcast after Alabama defeated Texas A&M 26-20 in College Station on Saturday.

Milroe had a career-high in passing yards against the Aggies, going for 321 on a 21-of-33 day while tying his career best with 3 touchdowns. Despite being sacked 6 times, Milroe and the Crimson Tide improved to 5-1 (3-0 SEC) and are on a 4-game winning streak as they have given themselves an edge in the SEC West race.

“I thought Jalen Milroe probably played the best game of his career,” McElroy said. “Outside of the interception, I thought he played pretty well. Obviously, sacks are still a little bit of a concern. But that was a gutsy, difficult spot to go play. And they were able to get it done.”

Alabama heads back to Bryant-Denny Stadium for a Week 7 game against Arkansas, followed by another home contest against Tennessee to start off what could be a deciding stretch of the season if the Tide are to return to the SEC Championship Game.
