Spoiler alert: Henry Ruggs III didn’t break John Ross’ NFL Combine record of 4.22 during his first attempt; however, it wasn’t far off at an official 4.27. Ruggs ran a 4.31 on his second attempt.

Outside of Tua Tagovailoa and the quarterbacks, most talk centered on Ruggs’ 40-time entering the combine and whether he could dethrone Ross.

Earlier this week, Ruggs was asked what his goal was for the 40-yard dash.

“My goal is to be the fastest ever,” Ruggs told CBS Sports’ Danny Kanell.

Well, that didn’t happen on the first run, but 4.27 is absolutely moving. Ruggs makes it look easy.

In 3 career seasons at Alabama, Ruggs caught 98 passes for 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns. It’ll be interesting to see if Ruggs does indeed get picked in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.

Ruggs’ Alabama teammate Jerry Jeudy ran an unofficial 4.46 and 4.52 in his 2 tries.
