Henry Ruggs III says he has ‘things to prove’ after Combine; reveals nicest thing Nick Saban ever told him

Speedy Alabama WR Henry Ruggs III entered the NFL Combine in Indianapolis with a chance to beat John Ross’s 40-yard dash record of 4.22 seconds.
Ruggs only posted a 4.27-second 40 time, but that was still impressive and keeps him solidly in the Round 1 mix.
However, he said he still feels like he has something to prove before April’s draft, according to AL.com:
“I did OK,” Ruggs said of his Combine performance. “I could have done better. I’ve still got things to prove before the draft.”
In case you missed his 4.27-second 40-yard dash, you can catch it again below:

Ruggs was also asked about his relationship with Alabama coach Nick Saban, and specifically about the nicest thing Saban ever said to him. Ruggs said the message was a simple one (via 247Sports):
“‘Good job, son,'” Ruggs said of Saban’s nicest remarks. “That’s it.
“He’s not going to show emotion. He’s just going to tell you good catch, good job and give a you a little pat on the back and tell you to just keep playing.”
That certainly fits with Saban’s personality. And, it’s probably safe to assume he doesn’t hand out ‘Good job, son” comments unless someone truly earns it.
