When the 2020 NFL Draft begins, Alabama star WR Henry Ruggs III probably won’t have to wait very long to hear his name called in Round 1.
He’s one of the best receivers in the draft class, so he’s almost a lock to go on Day 1 of the 3-day event.
On Wednesday, Ruggs joined “The Jim Rome Show” and talked about his game and which receivers he most enjoys watching play in today’s NFL:
“I want them to see a guy that’s relentless, a guy that’s not gonna shy away from anything,” he said. “I’m not shying away from bigger guys. I’m not shying away from contested catches over the middle. I’m a guy that’s willing to do anything and everything for the team.”
So, which current NFL guys does he see himself as? Who does he model his game after?
“I kinda watch a lot of guys,” he said. “I like to watch DeAndre Hopkins. I like to watch Tyreek Hill, obviously, because he’s a speed guy. And Jarvis Landry. Those are the guys I like to watch a lot.”
Those guys are all stars, so it’ll be interesting to see if Ruggs can join their ranks over the course of his NFL career.
