Henry Ruggs III zoomed his way to the end zone in impressive fashion on Saturday as Alabama opened the scoring against New Mexico State with a 75-yard touchdown.
Ruggs was measured at running 23 m.p.h., according to Clay Keith, as he covered a net of 80 yards in 9 seconds. That was Ruggs’ only carry in the 62-10 Alabama victory, though it was close to being ruled a pass. He also had 4 catches for 66 yards and a TD, a 10-yarder.
For the season, Ruggs has 6 catches for 80 yards and a TD, which is fourth on the team in yards.
