All indications are Alabama RB Yeldon will play against Mississippi State
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — All indications are that the University of Alabama football team will have everyone for Saturday’s game against Mississippi State.
As for how effective everyone will be, fans are just going to have to wait until kickoff to find out.
The biggest question mark is junior running back T.J. Yeldon, who sustained or aggravated a sprained ankle against LSU. He also sustained an injury against Tennessee, which limited him last week, but Yeldon has been doing more during practices the past couple of days.
“He’s practicing and doing well,” Saban said Wednesday.
Freshman left tackle Cam Robinson (ankle) is back in his usual spot, as is senior right tackle Austin Shepherd, who practiced last weak at left tackle in case Robinson couldn’t go after having ankle surgery following the Tennessee game on Oct. 25.
“I was pretty shocked with it,” Shepherd said about Robinson being able to play against LSU. “I haven’t watched film, but from what I’ve heard he played pretty good. I’m just glad he could be out there with us.”
Senior tight end Brian Vogler (ankle, knee) has also been practicing as Alabama prepares to face the No. 1 Bulldogs. The Crimson Tide hosts Western Carolina next week.
Christopher Walsh has covered Alabama football since 2004 and is the author of 19 books. In his free time, he writes about college football.
