Jalen Hurts is approaching a crossroads as the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, and the trade the Eagles made on Thursday is expected to bring his development to a head.

Damien Woody, an ESPN analyst, believes that it’s now time for Hurts to deliver as a franchise quarterback, and he explained on “Get Up.”

“He’s on the clock, that’s the way I look at this thing,” Woody said. “We know that the Philadelphia Eagles have 2 (first-round draft picks) next year. So you look at the trade for A.J. Brown, and you just look at the weapons they have on offense now. There’s no more excuses for Jalen Hurts. You’ve got premier wide receivers. You’ve got Miles Sanders in the backfield, Dallas Goedert at tight end. Basically, the Philadelphia Eagles are saying, ‘OK, we’re pushing our chips in as far as you’re concerned Jalen Hurts, it’s now or never this year.'”

If Hurts doesn’t deliver, Woody believes the Eagles will take advantage of the options they have available, including the draft picks.
