Jalen Hurts writes letter to NFL following 'near-tragic incident' after Sunday's game
Jalen Hurts has responded through a letter to the NFL and the Washington Football Team after he was involved in a collapsed railing incident at FedEx Field on Sunday. As Hurts left the field, a railing at a tunnel collapsed in front of Hurts, and sent fans tumbling and nearly hitting him.
“The resources of the NFL and team organizations ensure our safety through playing this physical sport,” Hurts wrote. “But what happened on Sunday put both fans and players unnecessarily at risk long after the final whistle.”
Hurts managed to dodge the falling fans, then stuck around for some selfies with the passionate Eagle supporters:
