Jalen Milroe hypes up Ty Simpson after TD drive in classy gesture
Jalen Milroe was benched as Alabama’s starting quarterback heading into Week 3 at USF.
But his replacement, Tyler Buchner, struggled as Alabama found itself tied with USF 3-3 at halftime. Then Buchner also got benched in favor of Ty Simpson.
After Simpson led a touchdown drive in the second half, guess who was the first person to hype him up as he made his way to the sideline. That’s right, it was Milroe:

That’s a classy gesture from Milroe, who could have just as easily been sitting on the sideline sulking over losing his job. Instead, he’s happy for one of his teammates and celebrating his success.
Who will be the Alabama QB1 moving forward? That remains to be seen, but it’s probably going to be an intense competition during the upcoming week. Things haven’t gone according to plan for Nick Saban and the Tide so far this year and they’ll work their hardest to change that before SEC play starts.
