Jalen Milroe and Jihaad Campbell were at the forefront of Alabama’s stunning 42-13 demolition of LSU on Saturday night at Death Valley, and the quarterback and linebacker got their just due on Monday.

Milroe and Campbell were named the Reese’s Senior Bowl Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for their performances, which helped the Crimson Tide bolster their College Football Playoff hopes while dashing LSU’s Playoff dreams.

We’ll start with Milroe, who was pedestrian as a passer, going 12-for-18 for just 109 yards with 0 touchdowns. But Milroe didn’t have to throw it that much because he was doing it all as a runner on Saturday night, gashing the Tigers defense for a ridiculous 185 yards rushing on just 12 carries and 4 touchdowns, including a 72-yard TD run early in the 4th quarter that capped his virtuoso night.

Also, Milroe didn’t throw any interceptions, so he didn’t give LSU anything. He just took from the Tigers.

So did Campbell, who piled up 12 tackles, 6 of them solo, along with 3 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks and even 1 pass deflection. The junior was simply everywhere, and he made life miserable for the LSU offense, helping Alabama’s defense force 3 turnovers.

Milroe and Campbell will look to build on their performances in Week 12 as the Crimson Tide host Mercer in a 2 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday.
