Jalen Milroe took some time during Rose Bowl preparations to comment on new Alabama QB Julian Sayin.

Milroe said he’s been in Sayin’s shoes, and all he can do is give him the information Milroe’s picked up in college.

“Really try to allow him to be a sponge with the information that I have, and he a good teammate for him,” Milroe said. “He spins the ball really well. It’s been really good to have him in the room, have another guy in the room. With everything, appreciate having another brother in the room, and he’s doing a really good job and he’s a good dude.”

Sayin is one of several recruits to join the team during bowl practices.

Milroe and Sayin will also be teammates in 2024 after Milroe recently announced plans to return to Alabama next season. He has started 12 of Alabama’s 13 games this year. Milroe had a big season in 2023 and engineered one of the best bounce-back campaigns around with 3,448 total yards of offense, including 2,718 passing, 730 rushing — and 35 total touchdowns.
