Jalen Milroe likes to keep things consistent on gamedays, even down to his shower routine.

Milroe appeared on The Next Round on Thursday and explained that he likes to mix between hot and cold water when he showers on Saturdays.

He typically wakes up, meditates, listens to music, showers, and then looks over game material.

“I wake up every gameday, no matter what time it is, and I meditate and take some time away from football to get my mind off of it. I take time away to listen to some music,” said Milroe. “I shower, hot cold hot cold. Then, I look over some material for the game. Then, the rest of the day I don’t look at no football and just have the day to have a piece of mind.”

Milroe said that alternating between hot and cold water in the shower helps him build mental toughness.

“Mental toughness. Starting the day off having some type of scenario to put you through the fire or put you in the sense of having strong mental toughness,” said Milroe. “That’s how I start my day off. That’s something I challenge myself, taking a cold shower, just to start your day off. I started doing that and I think it’s helped me out.”

It sounds like it’s working for Milroe.
