Jalen Milroe has experience the Iron Bowl from the sideline, but now he will get his first chance to be the starting quarterback in the game against Auburn.

While he’s not an Alabama native, Milroe knows how important the rivalry is.

“No matter what state you are from, you do now about the Iron Bowl,” Milroe said in a press conference on Monday. “Being from Texas, I know about the Iron Bowl for sure. I grew up watching it.”

But now Milroe is getting a chance to play in the game on the road. He knows that it will be an unforgettable experience.

“But to be able to experience the Iron Bowl, it’s a great experience for sure,” Milroe said. “Especially going on the road to Auburn. It’s going to be a big challenge for us. But I do know about the history of it, the game, it’s very exciting going into the week.”

Alabama is looking for another win in the game as it prepares for the SEC Championship. Auburn is looking to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to New Mexico State on Saturday with a big upset over Alabama.
