Jameson Williams ejected for targeting in Iron Bowl
Jameson Williams is a key part of Alabama’s offense, frequently scoring on big plays for the Crimson Tide.
On Saturday, though, his day is done early. The star wide receiver and potential first-round NFL Draft pick was on special teams covering a punt in the second quarter.
Then, as you can see below, he was ejected from the game for targeting after a helmet-to-helmet hit on the Auburn return man:

The review confirmed it as targeting, and Williams’ day is done. The good news for the Tide? He’ll be eligible to return for the SEC Championship Game next week. If he had been flagged in the second half, he’d have had to sit out the first half against Georgia next week.
We’ll see if Alabama’s offense can put up some points without its star receiver.
