Nick Saban’s Alabama program just landed a commitment from one of the nation’s best prospects.

The latest victory on the recruiting trail for the Crimson Tide comes as Thompson High School standout Jeremiah Alexander has announced his commitment to Alabama.

The 6-foot-2, 222-pound Alabaster, Ala., native is currently listed as the state’s No. 1 prospect and the No. 9 overall recruit in the nation for the 2022 recruiting cycle by 247Sports. Alexander committed to Alabama over scholarship offers from Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida State among many others.

Alexander is the first prospect from the 2022 recruiting cycle to pledge to join Saban’s Alabama program.

During his sophomore season playing for Thompson High School, Alexander registered 119 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, nine sacks and an interception. His team also reached the AHSAA Championship Game last season.
