ESPN is reporting that Denver Broncos and former Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy will be out 4-6 weeks due to a high ankle sprain.

Jeudy suffered the injury in the Broncos’ 27-13 victory over the New York Giants. At first glance, the injury looked more serious than an ankle sprain, and that Jeudy could be out for the rest of the season, luckily for the Broncos he may not miss but a few games now.

Jeudy was the Broncos’ first-round draft choice in 2020. Broncos quarterback  Teddy Bridgewater talked about Jeudy and what he means to this team.

“He means a lot to this offense,” Bridgewater told reporters, per ESPN. “You watch him, he’s creating separation in the pass game. He’s making tough catches across the middle. He’s getting open for us on third downs, different things. So, he’s a guy who means a lot to this offense, a lot to this team and we’ll continue to pray for him and can’t wait to get him back.”

Before his injury, Jeudy had 72 yards receiving.

Jeudy thanked fans on social media for “ankle donations” Monday:
