John Metchie isn’t working out at the NFL Combine as he continues to recover from a torn ACL.
But, he was still on hand in Indianapolis to conduct interviews and meet with teams that might be interested in taking him in the 2022 NFL Draft.
On Wednesday, Metchie said he expects to be ready to return to the field by June — in time for NFL training camps to start:

As for where he sees the Alabama WR room moving forward, Metchie identified Ja’Corey Brooks as the next great Crimson Tide receiver. He also added that there’s just as much talent in the Tide’s WR room as there’s ever been:

Alabama has sent several receivers to the NFL in the early rounds in recent years. We’ll see if that trend continues this April with Jameson Williams and Metchie.
