Alabama football is in the midst of an odd season not many drew up as the Crimson Tide have recorded 2 losses and are out of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Now, what’s left for the team is to finish out the year on a high note and look to return to its former glory starting when it gets to work this offseason. Former Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson recently weighed on “McElroy and Cubelic In the Morning” on WJOX out of Birmingham, Alabama about what he wants to see out of his former squad next in a tune-up game against Austin Peay.

“I really want to see us carry over the mindset that we had the second game of trying to whip people,” Wilson said. “Coming out and just being physical, being aggressive, being nasty a little bit with it and keep that going because I think you’re going to have to have it against Auburn in the Iron Bowl.”

While Auburn has been a lowly team this season, the amount of fight the Tigers have played with should not be ignored.

“They’re playing with a lot of emotion right now,” Wilson said. “A lot of passion… so can we continue it into Austin Peay in a game that would be very easy to let down and not show up and not just come out of the gates just guns ablazing to get ready for Auburn?”

Alabama is set to take on Austin Peay at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
