The injury bug is starting to make its way to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Prior to Saturday’s scrimmage, it was reported that 5-star freshman running back Trey Sanders would miss the season with a foot injury that required surgery. Saban confirmed that news following Saturday’s scrimmage.

Saban also told the media that linebacker Joshua McMillon suffered a potential knee injury. The medical staff is going to do some tests and research.

“Probably the guy that’s most concerning they have to do some research on is Josh McMillon today with a potential knee injury,” Saban said. “We’ll have to see what that is.”

Most project the senior linebacker McMillon to start alongside Dylan Moses, where he spent most of the spring. McMillon is the most experienced linebacker on the team.

The Memphis, Tennessee, native has made 19 tackles, including one tackle for loss.
